Harry Moorehead, a husband to Lucian Weaver's daughter, is found hanging in his father Samuel Moorehead’s barn near Monterey. The 7 am discovery follows days of withdrawn mood. No clear cause given. Moorehead was respected and childless.

He enlisted at 34 and, from the perspective of 1861 veterans now 18 to 20, seemed like an old man but now appears younger to the current company. He lives in Highland county, is a Republican, and has fared fairly well in life.
The State receives a handsomest file box set placed in Judge Breeding's office. Made to order under his direction and Deputy Mr Whippey, the 150 compartment case is dust proof, locks all compartments together, and sits on a unit with pigeon holes closets and cupboards. Judge Breeding calls it the finest case ever to enter his court.
