Clermont County Eyes 300 Foot Radio Tower Project

Clermont County will buy a 300 foot radio tower to boost police fire and life squad communications and connect with Hamilton County. The $11 200 erection funds come from the 11 department emergency dispatch group which will lease land on hospital grounds to install the tower and relocate antennae from Owensville.

Clermont County Loses Welfare Funds Share Says Official

Clermont Senior Services director Lois Dale charges the state Welfare office with shortchanging Clermont County on federal Title XX funds. Social services official cites Title XX limits on aid

Clermont County social services chief Harlan Wolf says federal rules curtail Title XX aid, leaving many eligible residents without services. In 1976 Clermont allocated 1.5 million, mostly to mental health and welfare, with ceilings constraining expansion. Lois Dale notes rural areas receive little Title XX funding and surplus funds rarely materialize. local leaders plan to urge Ohio welfare director Aggrey to adjust allocations.

Clermont County Critics Fault OKI On Transit Planning

Clermont County commissioners sharply criticized OKI for neglecting local transit needs. They cited a letter to Croswell from OKI planner Moore questioning why Clermont was not notified of a Batavia meeting on regional transit plans extending to 1990.
