Seventh Ohio Cavalry Reunion Echoes Civil War Past
The Seventh Regiment Ohio Volunteer Cavalry held its Williamsburg reunion with a M E church service a G A R hall feast and camp fire. Officers were elected including President W Archer Cincinnati and Secretary W Burton Cincinnati. A flag presentation by Williamsburg ladies honored Holmes and Mount, with remarks by E B Holmes and others. The day included a parade, dinner for 400, and a roster listing many veterans and their home towns.

Dr S B Crew Clermont physician dies in Washington
Dr Samuel B Crew a Clermont County physician and charter member of the Clermont County Medical Society died in Washington DC on October 23 at age 67. He served as surgeon of the 89th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War and later held a clerkship in the Treasury. He was born in Warren County and practiced in Fayetteville and Batavia before the war.
