Critics say the change repeats the old wholesaling loophole and raises safety concerns in Clermont County. Batavia officials and county leaders discuss a 108000 square foot, five story courthouse project to centralize departments and improve county image. McBride says wait till 1991 is too long and projects a 1989 start if costs can drop from about 10 million to 7.8 million with accelerated spending restraint.
Batavia YWCA offers a low fee Bargain Day camp for children ages 6 to 11. Last summer over 300 children enrolled in four one week programs. this year five locations charge 7 per child with 10 for two and 12 for three in the same family. Director Stacey Saunders says the camp remains the only affordable option for low income families and is open to county children.
The Hamilton County Park District brings back the Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social for a second year. June events feature Blue Jacket stage drama at Caesar's Ford Park Amphitheater and Woodland Mound Park gatherings with live music, antique car displays, and a family friendly ice cream lineup.
Schools crowned a first ever boys track title as Mt Notre Dame led with a 9-4 score in softball and Lions finished strong with 99 points while Seabrook and Barons also posted near totals.
