The Clermont county Methodist Episcopal Sunday school Union met in Amelia on May 5 with 84 delegates and 168 total attendees. President W R Walker and secretary Miss Lillian Cline led sessions featuring addresses on Sunday school relations with the church, methods, and child guidance. Committees formed for nominations and finance. resolutions urged continued county conventions and appreciation for speakers and musicians.

Rabid Dog Bite Sparks Clermont County Alarm
The outbreak of rabies spreads through Clermont and neighboring counties with numerous bite cases. Bethel saw Nathaniel Edwards severely bitten by a rabid dog caught in a steel trap while he freed it. He suffered facial and hand wounds and waits nine days to see if rabies develops, urging dog owners to contain pets and watch both house and stray dogs.

Bethel Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Machine Shop Blow
B F Swing of Bethel recently worked in a Middletown machine shop and returned home with serious injuries after a belt broke under strain. One end struck him on the head, ripped the scalp, and left him senseless. He received care from fellow workers and was sent home to recover.

Letter with $100 Draft Found in Coal Box
A letter mailed on Washington's birthday by W. M. Lee from Moscow to a New Richmond firm carried a $100 draft. It was never heard of until yesterday when discovered in a passenger car coal-box on the C. & O. line, smeared with tobacco juice and coal dust but the contents undisturbed.

Funeral Hearse Accident Hurts Driver in Brushy Fork Trek
On Monday morning H. A. Moore and his son Stirling drove a hearse toward Brushy Fork near Owensville for Mrs. Bobls funeral. A sun cracked road caused the hearse to drop into a hole, brook its spring and upend the carriage. Young Moore sustained serious leg bruises though the casket remained intact and the team fled the scene.

Milton Bradley thirty year old son of Jasper Bradley died after attempting to load a shotgun while hawk shooting near Hackensack Warren county. The double barreled gun discharged when the trigger caught on bark tearing his bowels. he was unmarried and living with his widow mother.

Charles Jones, a Milford butcher, drove off eleven hogs from Farmer George Smith near Guinea City after posing as a hog buyer. Smith tracked them to Milford where Jones sold them for 11.25. Constable Applegate sent him to jail to await grand jury action.
