Excursionists Pack Road As Barnum's Circus Returns
About two hundred excursionists traveled the road on Monday to see Barnum's circus with half fares. Four new passenger coaches began service on the down Portsmouth train. Col Hunt, general superintendent, inspected tracks near Batavia Junction to Sardinia as steel rails are laid within forty days shortening trips. Two new freight engines arrive this week as freight business booms along the line. Batavia May receipts exceed last year by about $100.
