Arc funding of about 315000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission may extend Armstrong Boulevard from Old Ohio 74 to Ohio 32. The OV RDC backed the county’s access road grant on May 6 as ARC funding was reduced by five percent from 332610. The project aims to unlock 600 acres of industrial land near the airport with a new intersection at Ohio 32 and Old Ohio 74 and future grade separated interchanges and lane additions.
Clermont County requires water restrictions after a dry winter and warm spell. Northern areas including Miami and Goshen Township faced low pressure on Sunday as wells failed to refill. Powell notes absence of snowfall or rain and returns to work reduced demand as a relief. County commissioners may reimpose non essential-use bans if needed.
