ARC cash eyed for Armstrong Boulevard extension

Arc funding of about 315000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission may extend Armstrong Boulevard from Old Ohio 74 to Ohio 32. The OV RDC backed the county’s access road grant on May 6 as ARC funding was reduced by five percent from 332610. The project aims to unlock 600 acres of industrial land near the airport with a new intersection at Ohio 32 and Old Ohio 74 and future grade separated interchanges and lane additions.

Volunteers Move Owensville Church to New Home

Miami Township Youth Dies in Gunshot Incident

A Miami Township youth, 18 year old Ball, died after a single gunshot while target practicing with a friend. The two were injured and transported to a local hospital, where Ball died about six hours later at 11:45 p.m. Sgt. Cliff Wheeler reported the incident occurred at the Lane property.
