Officials say the PUB system, balanced from Harsha Lake to wells, upgraded raw storage and pumping capacity with fourteen 1988 contracts. Arson ruled as Batavia fire cause after tests
Investigators conclude arson sparked a Batavia blaze that damaged six apartments and a barn space. Fire officials say natural gas was not the cause though it fueled the flames. Water reservoirs were nearly depleted. residents boiled water as a precaution. Tests later said Batavia water was safe to drink and schools resumed with bottled water provided.
