After years of public attention the Hill will dispute in Wayne Township was settled out of court last week. Robert Hill born 1820 died 1900 left most property to three sons Joseph Frank and Notley with two daughters Nettie and Rachel receiving only personal property. Daughters sued alleging undue influence and old age impairment. two trials failed to resolve. Plaintiffs collect 600 each, defendants pay all costs. Griffith Nichols represented plaintiffs as Breeding Joseph acted for defendants.

Last Saturday the Woman's Club hosted Reciprocity Day at Mrs. Dean Nichols home with guests from the Am elia Club including Miss Rhodes Miss Butler and Miss Lena Penn. Miss Rhodes read a paper on the Romance of Early Americans and Mrs Barr spoke on the Coming Woman. Mrs Nichols a skilled pianist provided music and a luncheon followed. Veteran of 59th Ohio dies in Crab Creek Washington
Raymond Gee a veteran of the New Richmond company 59th Ohio died April 23 at his Crab Creek Washington home in his 66th year. He served three years in the 59th Ohio and re enlisted in the U S cavalry becoming aid to Gen McDonald. He leaves a widow two sons and a daughter. He was escorted to the grave by the G A R Masons Eastern Stars and other secret orders.
