Hampshire Bell sells 64 head cattle at high prices
H. Bell, a Jersey cattle breeder near Yellow Springs in Clark County, sold 64 head of blooded cattle last week at an average of 50.90 per head. The top price for a single cow reached 400, bought by a Kentucky buyer. Mr. Swift of Chicago purchased 18 head. Bell is among the state’s largest breeders.
