Former Batavian Mrs W Seokatz born Delia Dustin died last Friday in Cincinnati. She was sister to Mrs Grace Hedrick of New York, who with her husband and one son survives. Burial Monday in Batagra beside her husband John Howard. Short service at the grave.

The Lindale school ended a successful year with an intermediate room picnic on Friday April 20 and a primary room event on Thursday April 26. Parents and friends visited, prizes were awarded for punctuality and academics, Anna Lindsey earned two prizes for perfect attendance, Edgar Valentine won two prizes for best department grade and attendance. A Baptist Church lecture and pictures by Mr Briel capped the day, with all reporting a good time.

The Williams burg schools end a successful year with the largest class of 1928 graduating. Twenty one students received diplomas as J. L. Clifton spoke, alumni and juniors hosted events, and the board added a library, installed a card index system, and improved grounds while teachers were paid promptly under Superintendent Druhat.
