Batavian Native Carl Howard Dies in Cincinnati Age 82
Carl Howard, eldest son of Mrs. Delia Howard Davis formerly of Batavia, died at his mother's home in Cincinnati last Wednesday and was buried in Union Cemetery here Friday. He spent the last four years in West Virginia oil fields and had been in failing health about two years. He was 82, never married.

Seventieth Anniversary Observed by Craver Couple
Seventy eighth birthday Mrs. H Hill of Craver observed on Thursday and Mr H Hill reached 78 Saturday. The couple, married sixty years ago last December, are highly esteemed and have spent most of their life near Craver despite Mrs Hill's ill health. He was described as well preserved for his age and a pleasant caller on Thursday.
