Cherry Fork Wins First Tri-State Coca Cola Championship
Cherry Fork defeated Vevay Indiana 86 to 29 to win the first annual tri state Coca Cola league championship at Newport Kentucky American Legion Gym on Saturday night. The consolation title went to Corinth Kentucky over Morrow Ohio. Payouts were 350 dollars to Cherry Fork and 250 to Vevay with 125 each for the consolation teams.

Leaps to Death at Christ's Hospital
Mrs Rosella Troxell 67 wife of Rev J R Troxell leaped from a sixth floor hospital window Thursday afternoon after freeing herself from restraints and slipping from a nurse's grip. She fell onto the driveway in front of Christ's hospital where she had been an inpatient since February 25, suffering a fractured skull.

New Weed Ruling Lets Small Barley Tobacco Growers Plant Full Base
A ruling signed by the secretary of agriculture allows barley tobacco growers with base acreage 1.2 acres or less to plant in 1935 an amount equal to either their base production or 650 pounds, whichever is smaller.
