Wisconsin Territory Legislature Passes New Institutions

The second session of the Wisconsin Territory Legislature closes after 75 days, approving acts to establish the Wisconsin University at Green Bay the Bank of Racine the Bank of Iowa the State Bank of Wisconsin and other rail and canal ventures along with colleges. Debates reference corruption in banking and remarks on political pressures. The governor Blatchett of Plymouth is noted for a curious 1782 will clause.
