John W. Duckwall a leading Batavia businessman dies after weeks of illness. Gangrene from a foot wound proved fatal despite pain management and limited anesthesia. Born July 30 1882 he married Lamira Hall and left daughter Kate. He served as M E church officer treasurer of Clermont Agricultural Society and school board secretary. Funeral set for 10 am tomorrow at his residence with Revs Schultz and Sutherland officiating.
