State Rep William H Mussey announces providing the 108th General Assembly Bulletin to Clermont County Auditor Arnold Stump for bi weekly action listings and governor appointments. Citizens can follow legislation by referring to the bulletin.
The Batavia Schools PTA invites the public to a science fair at Batavia High School cafeteria on Saturday March 8. Students in grades 7 through 12 will display projects from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best projects.
Rep. Roger W. Tracy Jr. introduced a bill to the House to make valid for five years a physician's certificate for permanently disabled voters, removing the current requirement to file a certificate before each voting session. Other sponsors include William H. Mussey.
A Batavia meeting last week to form a countywide Clermont County Chamber of Commerce drew 36 attendees and garnered broad interest. Horace Flannery appointed Robert Becht to lead a committee to plan a follow up meeting on April 2 at Batavia.
Purdue is named campaign chairman for the Easter Seals drive running March 1 to April 6. He says the voluntary group has aided the disabled for nearly 50 years and calls for Clermont County residents to support crippled children and adults in 1969.
Clermont County officials told about 150 Miami Township residents they expect a federal grant of 1.397 million dollars for the Miami Township and Owensville sewer system sometime between April and July. A Milford High School meeting sponsored by Day Heights Civic Association outlined project costs and funding options, including possible assessments if needed.
