Amelian Driver Dies In Highway Mishap Near Jackson's Lake
John L. Linson was killed instantly when his car left the road near Jackson's Lake on Rt 74 and rolled three times after being forced off by deputies Charles Lea and Virgil Marcum. He lived on Judd Road with parents Mr and Mrs M A Linson and sister Mrs Mary E McCoy. Funeral services were held at Moore Funeral Home Batavia.

Clermont County Board of Elections ruled on Saturday to place Charles W Jackson of Summerside on the Democratic primary ballot for state representative. Brower of Milford was removed after evidence showed he voted Republican in the May 1 primary. Officials subpoenaed included Milford East Precinct judges and clerks who signed the poll book near Brower’s name.

Chiropractors Face Charges in Milford Township
Vernon Kline of Bethel and Duke Gallo of Amelia were arrested by Miami Township Constable E A Fenster on illegal chiropractic practices warrants signed by Cecil D. Scott of the Ohio State Medical Board. Kline pleaded not guilty and was held for the Clermont County grand jury on $1000 property bond. Galloway posted $1000 and awaited grand jury action. Both had prior convictions and no licenses on file.

Ernest Poms el was elected president Edward Hoffman vice president Robert Seidler secretary treasurer Robert Ludlow purchasing agent Don Ison publicity director. Wiley Pittrell chaired the committee with Jack Dawson and Ernest Pomsel announcing team registrations for A B and C on March 8 at W T school from 6 30 to 8 30 p m. The knothole dinner is planned for April with Ralph Pruitt as chairman. Dean Taylor was appointed to contact the Union Heights Lions Club and Ludlow to seek business support. The association will meet March 15 at Ison's barber shop.

Guilty Verdict In Robbery Case
Jerry G. Tretola 29 of Cincinnati was found guilty by a jury of nine women and three men of armed robbery at the Frontier Tavern. The verdict followed four and a half hours of deliberation and carries a penalty of 10 to 25 years. Anthony Pedro, 41, indicted, will be tried in April. Deputy McNutt testified both men admitted the robbery. Pedro denied arming or purchasing ammunition.

Plumbers Form Promotion Group In Clermont County
A seven member promotion committee of the Clermont County Plumbers Association was formed to push for licensing of plumbers. Members include Matt Storch J B Whitt Al Wolfer Ray Elion Elton Kennedy Allen Chandler and Clyde Frank.
