Clermont County schools keep operating with summer classes and recreation. New Richmond runs a four through 12 program Monday to Friday 9 30 am to 3 30 pm with 200 to 400 daily attendance. Students join pottery, trampoline, and outdoor activities led by Slater and a team including Ron Reid Bob McIntorf Rosiland Haas and Jim Krozier.
County Auditor Arnold Stumpf says farm tax valuation, approved as State Issue One, awaits state guidance with July expectations. Commissioner Harold Bissantz pushes Clermont County pride while criticizing WCPO coverage of the Building Department. A Goshen Ecology Club seeks storage space for old papers and asks for leads.

Opponents warn of more schoolchildren as a new middle school is planned, while officials cite population and tax implications.
Clermont County's Adult Medical Clinic opens in the basement of the County Service Center on S R 222 Batavia. Renovation started this week and Dr. Mellies notes stairs on the third floor are unsuitable for elderly patients. The clinic will use a sliding fee scale and is taking names and numbers at 732 1408 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Clermont County Park Board plans to solicit bids for developing and equipping a portion of Kahle Park just south of Batavia on SR 132. Engineer Carl Hartman reviewed the layout. contract award eyed for July 9 depending on bids. The 11.5 acres to be developed include a shelter ball diamond basketball court picnic area washroom facilities and an access road. The project will be funded from Park Board funds with a late summer completion target.
About 175 seniors attended a conference at the Cincinnati Convention Center hosted by Louis Young of Seniors of Ohio. They taped responses to plan a report for the Ohio Commission on Aging and discussed Clermont Senior Services ideas like Home Aide Service and a speech and hearing clinic, with meals on wheels a distant possibility.
Clermont County Welfare Department and Brown County Hospital provide homemaker and home nursing services to seniors. About 90 elderly are helped monthly by homemakers, and roughly 30 receive home nursing care. The Senior Services bus runs daily to transport and offer social contact, covering Bethel Felicity New Richmond Batavia Amelia areas with schedule specifics and a onetime contact number for pickups.
