The Sad Sea Waves Tragic Death of Clermont Youth
Arthur Custer of Goshen went to California for work and married in Los Angeles. While swimming at Long Beach he drowned after cramps, as friends searched by boat. His body washed ashore two weeks later in Los Angeles and was buried there. He was 22 and a Goshen High School graduate.
