Bertrand John Minning Dies in Denver at 21
Corporal Bertrand John Minning of A S A died in Denver Colorado on June 8 1924 while seeking health. His brother and mother traveled to his bedside and he was buried June 9 at Spring Grove Cemetery with Masonic services and a funeral conducted by Rev Russell. A firing squad and bugler greeted the cortege and taps were sounded.

Clermont farmers may plant soybeans as late as July 15 if needed due to weather, with late planting preferred to idle land. Ten percent of Clermont’s market livestock is contracted to the Clermont Cooperative Livestock Association, including hogs, calves, cows and steers, and sheep. The association will refine county livestock estimates before selling. Sycamore frost damage noted but not blight, with trees expected to recover. Apple crops in northern Ohio forecast smaller.
