Banks collect Clermont County real estate taxes locally
Clermont County treasurer David F. Smith enlists 50 plus county branches of 14 banks and savings institutions to handle second half 1983 real estate tax payments. Banks and savings institutions will accept payments at no extra cost, depositing daily or weekly into tax accounts and speeding receipt processing. The program, modeled after Butler and Hamilton counties, aims to certify collected amounts to the county auditor within 10 days after the due date.
