State Sen. Snyder and Rep. Fisher press Attorney General Celebrezze to halt a $4.5 million transfer from Clermont College to UC Batavia. They allege improper notification and misaligned use of funds and seek steps to restore funds to Clermont.
Union Township Board of Trustees rejected two requests for zone changes after the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended against them. Architects McClorey Savage and McClorey sought a B7 open air market, but the panel denied B6. Trustees debated preserving land control vs local development. A separate Brinkman request for a B4 convenience business at Lane and Summerside was denied 2 0 as a spot zone.
The Clermont County Chamber of Commerce asks Gov. Richard Celeste to place Zimmer Nuclear Power Station on a special governor s advisory council. The attorney general s office may form a council to advise on plant matters in Moscow. The chamber wants Zimmer and Cincinnati Environmental Advisory Council represented to keep the plant from opening while Torrey Pines Technology announces a broad review of construction management and quality assurance at the plant.
