Plea Entered by Covey and Stoiber in Burglary Case
Nelson Covey and H A Stoiber of Cincinnati pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property in common pleas court on Monday. Sentencing deferred until Rhinehart's bribery case is tried. Geo. Hayworth aged 60 of Pt. Pleasant was arrested Friday and jailed for possession of a still and a half gallon of moonshine found by Constable J. W. Jones. He pled guilty, fined 500 dollars plus costs, and sent to Batavia county jail. A broom maker known to river men as blind George, he has traveled widely and built his own house. his sentence will take over 800 days to serve.

Bethel Home Coming Funds Push Grant Memorial Project
Bethel plans a four day home coming August 27 to 30 to raise funds for a Grant Memorial Building. Secretary Mrs B H Wilson has mailed invitations to over 850 former residents. The association already has about 22000 and will use entertainments bazaars subscriptions and donations to cover the remaining costs. Bethel previously received about 15000 from memorial coin sales and aims to complete the funding this year.
