Anti Slavery Meeting Resolves on Immediate Emancipation
A Clermont County Anti Slavery Society meeting at Williamsburgh on the 13th adopted resolutions urging united action and a quarterly subscription plan to fund abolition efforts. They demand candidates pledge immediate emancipation in the District of Columbia and Florida, repeal of Ohio’s black laws, and respect for petition rights, appointing a three person committee to question candidates.
