Courier Announces 5 000 Day Circulation Celebration

Bethel area hosts a 5 000 Day promotion with a beauty contest and grand openings in Bata and Williamsburg. About 300 businesses participate as 5 000 plus prizes and 4 525 in Courier discounts are offered. Pilot Jimmy Warden will drop 1 000 certificates over Bethel and surrounding villages between 2 and 5 pm Saturday. If weather allows, similar drops occur Sunday or Monday. prizes include a 1963 model car valued at 279 50 and various items.

John Woods Named APCO Convention Representative

John 8 Woods, a radio dispatcher in Clermont County sheriff's office, was named local representative to the Associated Police Communications Officers Ohio Chapter meeting held Friday at the Deshler Wallick Hotel in Columbus.
