In the third of a five game series, Amelia defeated Laurel 11 to 10. Wild throws and muffed plays gave early runs to Laurel, but Amelia delivered five straight whitewash innings, only two runs allowed in the eighth, and the game ended after two hours and thirty minutes. Outrage on Little Miami railroad injures boy
A masked man fired three shots at Robert Jones Jr near Shawnee Run bridge while a party headed to Milford. The 12 year old was shot in the leg but not seriously hurt. Jones searched for the assailant for miles but he remains uncaught.

Narrow Wheat Harvest Accident Injures Edenton Man
Joseph Cramer of Edenton was helping a neighbor harvest wheat when a drive wheel propelled him from the reaper. The reel and sickle guards struck his arm as he tried to free himself, leaving him with a close, dangerous brush with the moving parts. He escaped without serious harm.

Mrs. Clara W. Robinson, noted as a canvasser for Cram's Atlas, is reported to have left an unpaid wash bill in Amelia after swindling newspapers and boarding houses. Her agents M. A. Harris & Company, Cincinnati, are urged to recall her. Clermont stands to gain a free Ohio University scholarship. county auditors must decide the grant. Felicity Lodge News and 1882 Temple Dedication
Felicity Lodge No. 5 F and A M of Felicity, the first in Franklin township, was chartered October 17 1839 with George Crosley Master Moses Larkin W and John F McKinney J W. The lodge moved to a larger temple in 1882 on St Johns Day with a formal dedication. Visiting brethren attended and Fletcher L Day of Cincinnati Commandery a 32 degree Mason sat in the Master’s chair for the ceremonies. A bountiful lunch followed and many praised the lodge for its growth and activity.

Mrs Murry Dies While Husband Away in Town
Mrs Timothy Murry of near Chile died last Thursday while her husband was briefly in town. Her remains were buried in the Catholic cemetery near Newport Kentucky last Friday. Cause of death is unknown.
