Mrs. Amelia Neville Chaplin Shields aged 87, of Sewickley, widow of Thomas Leet Shields, prominent Pittsburg family member, died June 30, 1899. Survived by children Mrs. Collins of Hagerstown, Mrs. Oliver of Sewickley, Mrs. Ambstaetter, Rebecca Shields, Captain David L. Shields, Thomas L. Shields Jr. and two deceased, William Jones and Lt. William Shields killed at Chancellorsville.

A 19 year old identified as Yom Little, son of Robert Little, fell from a swing at a Lindale residence last Wednesday. He sustained severe bruising and shock and died within hours. Remains sent to Mt Adama for interment. The death is deeply regretted and described as a promising youth.
