Benjamin Crane settled on Poplar Road with a growing clan including Abner, Luther, and Davis, while Thomas West brought five sons and two daughters from Lexington Kentucky. The Sendersons from Greenbriar Virginia and Batesville’s Jarret Riley and John Riley, a young Baptist preacher, settled nearby. Riley later moved to Kentucky and Illinois.
