My Mother Almost Perfect in a Mountain West Virginia Tale
The author extols a West Virginia mother born in Clay County who raised twelve children in hardship. She moved her family to Winchester in 1915, kept them fed and educated, endured her husband’s death in 1988, and inspired three ministers, a missionary, and a nurse among her offspring. Her faith, thrift, and dedication define her near perfect record.
