OKI eyes East Fork Lake area sewage plan
OKI proposes a regional sewer for Batavia Bethel and Williamsburg to be reviewed by Clermont County Sewer & Water District. The plan echoes a 1971 super sewer idea by McGill Smith Amelia, with an 84 inch tunnel 160 feet deep to feed a treatment plant.

Autos crushed as awning collapses on Batavia street
An overhang awning collapsed in Batavia about 9 am injuring no pedestrians. Two cars were damaged a 1967 Checker Marathon owned by John S Shanly of Blan chester and a 1970 Ford Galaxie owned by Donald Conrad Apt C 226 E Main St. The street was cleared by 1 pm and traffic returned to normal.

Rox International to Build Freon Engine Plant Near Batavia
Clermont County will host a Rox International plant to mass produce freon engines that run on solar energy. The site near Batavia is under review with production planned for next spring and employment expected to rise from 30–40 to over 100 by year end 1977.
