Magdeline Smith of Williamsburg and Clay Moore near Williamsburg were bound over by Justice S. L. Larkin to the grand jury on charges from a jail break attempt. Both pleaded not guilty. Dies In Crash On A P Highway Near New Richmond
Ray C. Mayer a 32 year old resident of Pt. Pleasant was killed almost instantly when his car left the A P highway east of New Richmond struck a tree and then a telephone pole. He died a few minutes after the crash. Passengers W M Mull and Jasper Allen of New Richmond suffered cuts bruises and other injuries. Mull had a deep cut to the head broken ribs and the loss of two fingers. Allen was badly shaken and received cuts and bruises. Mayer was husband of Roselyn Hesley of New Richmond.

Man Drowned in East Fork Near County Home
Albert Daniels 42 of 807 Central Avenue Cincinnati drowned while fishing with his nephew Henry Woodhouse and Delos Clift of Bridgetown Ohio. He waded into the East Fork near the County Home and disappeared. his body was recovered and sent to Moore Funeral Home Batavia. Coroner Ian White ruled accidental drowning.

Mrs. Lucretea Badgley age 51 wife of Elmer Badgley of Bethel died by her own action early Monday morning by drowning in a rain barrel at their home. She was found at 6 a.m. by her husband. Despondent since January due to ill health, Coroner Sam White ruled verdict of death by own action.

Wind Storm Damages Clermont County Village and Town
A high wind struck Clermont County last Friday causing severe damage along the river. In New Richmond trees uprooted chimneys blown down roofs torn loose and two cars damaged when a bus garage collapsed. The Front Street sign board fell and the electric light service failed for hours. In Williamsburg the smoke stack at the Furniture factory was blown down and demolished.
