Fox Drive Captivates Pierce and Union Townships Fans

Last Saturday residents organized a fox drive in Pierce and Union townships with Captains Marshals and Lieutenants directing a mass pursuit. About a thousand participants chased foxes over hills creeks and fences, yielding two large catches. a larger event is planned for January 22 with six marching lines and named commanders.

Dr Anderson to represent Ninth District in Grand Lodge

Newtonsville physician Dr. Anderson to serve two years as representative for the Ninth District in the Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows. His lodges include Clermont Morrow Marathon Boston Mount Carmel Angolla Shiloh Mainville Pleasant Plain and Newtownsville. He has been District Deputy Grand Master for Hill District three years. He is versed in the order’s work and should be a capable Grand Body member.
