In Clermont Courier letters, a writer targets Dr Cosmopolite’s mental decline and memory loss. The exchange lampoons contradictory statements by Ellis Howard and others, mocks pedantic grammar and pedagogue references, and questions memory and honesty in a heated public dispute.
