The Batavia Lodge Daughters of Rebecca attended the installation of officers in Williamsburg last Friday night. The group included Mrs Helen Scott Mrs Dollie Pegg Misses Cora Griffis Susie Moore Harriett Hitch Mamie Teal and Belle Marsh, escorted by Tom Hamilton Ort Robinson and Henry Fuhr. A delightful time is reported.
Ezekiel Marsh died at the county infirmary on January 9, 1897, aged 98. A former Milford resident, he lived in good fortune before business reverses and illness led to his county charge. He was exemplary, kept to rules, and well liked by officers and inmates.
