FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED BY Batavia residents

Mr and Mrs J M Lyle of East Main street celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary with a family dinner. Mrs Lyle is 66 and Mr Lyle 76, both healthy with minor exceptions. Presbyterian Mission Opens with Rev John Robertson D D

Rev John Robertson D D L L D formerly of Seaburg Divinity School now in New York City began a two week Gospel Mission last Sunday morning. He is a minister of the Presbyterian church of Scotland and has proven himself a powerful preacher. Meetings run daily with Bible study 8 30 to 4 80 pm and 7 30 pm sermons. Robert Jones of Bethel, a Bethel Shoe Factory employee, nearly suffered a serious accident last week when a flame from a lit match ignited a celluloid eye shade he wore.
