Sportsman's Market Grows as Yeager Visits Clermont County
Hal Shevers of Sportsman's Market Inc hosts world famous test pilot Chuck Yeager at his Clermont County Airport area hangar for an October 1986 mail order catalog shoot. Yeager, 62, praised aviation legends and agreed to a $20,000 fee for youth and Air Force support, while Shevers expands to 84 staff, adds warehouses and offices, and eyes more space as sales quadruple in four years.
