New Clermont County Judge Hills First Jury Case
Judge Ralph A. Hill seated on the Clermont County Common Pleas bench for the first time Monday. His initial jury case was settled before a bench challenge. Hill previously served as a County Court judge. The oath session was led by outgoing Judge Harold D. Nichols who gave Hill a gavel carved from Batavia’s original courthouse plank. Nichols also presented a plan to pass the gavel to successors as court equipment. Mrs Rosemary Cribbet will remain as staff stenographer and secretary. Carson resigned after 12 years in the county sheriff’s department to take the new post. Garner was mentioned in passing.

Milford Men Die From Personal Safety Related Wounds
Two Milford men Wallace Query 27 died at 8 p m in his parents apartment 10 Robbie Ridge and Jamies F Fox 19 died from gunshot wounds in separate weekend incidents. Query's services were set for 10 30 a m Thursday at Quentin K Staley Funeral Home Deer Park with burial at Rest Haven. Fox funeral arrangements were handled locally with services held at a local church. Surviving relatives include their parents and a brother for Query.

New Bridge Work Started on SR 131 Replacement
