Wm. B. Frye Dies in New Richmond After Illness
Wm. B. Frye a former head of the Dormer Brothers Plant and longtime public official in New Richmond died last Friday at his home after months of illness. Funeral service was at St. Peter Church with Msgr Gerdes presiding. Burial followed at St. Peter cemetery. He is survived by his widow and two children, W. R. Frye and Miss Cornelia Frye.

Burglary Suspects Nabbed in Barnes Poolroom Robbery
Two youths from Carthage named John Casada and W T Colter were arrested last week and charged with breaking into Barnes poolroom in Williamsburg. They allegedly removed a slot machine and several cartons of cigarettes after entering through a back window. Marshal Turner aided the capture and will present the case to the grand jury.

War on Crows in Highland County Hears Crow Hunters Battle
Hillsboro Ohio reports the Highland County Coon Hunters Association has declared war on crows counted at about 200000 in Highland County. Members say over 2000 crows have been killed and the war continues. Farmers note rising crow and hawk numbers and widespread crop damage each season. The pests reportedly prey on ground nesting birds grain chickens young rabbits and other wildlife.
