Suit Against East Fork Dropped After 19 Month Battle
Ohio Attorney General William J. Brown dropped the suit against the East Fork Reservoir and Caesar's Creek dam project, allowing work to move forward with more orderly planning. The 19 month effort, urged by environmental groups, delayed the dam projects in Warren County and Clermont County but a new environmental report was accepted in 1974. The dams aim to provide flood control, water quality, water supply, and recreation, with completion hoped for 1977.

The Bethel Tate Board recommends adopting a school drug policy after a district wide look at abuse, including elementary level issues. A draft policy will be reviewed March 20, while a parent student and teacher education program is proposed. Separate proposals seek to convert the old auditorium into a community teen center with teen involvement and activities seven days a week, or to renovate it as a broader community center under the Bethel Ministerial Association.
