Henry Machold, aged 77, died February 12 1903 at the home of his son in law John Haha. He came from Germany in 1868 and lived in Cincinnati before moving to the current town with his daughter and her husband. He was a devout member of the U B church and a respected citizen. Funeral services were held at the U B church the previous Sunday morning led by Rev H J Frank with interment at Citizen's cemetery.
