Milliner Undergoes Hand Surgery in Cincinnati
W. T. Milliner, a Wiggonville farmer, had a finger removed in Cincinnati on February 11. Dr. Corea led the operation with Mrs Abbott and Lee Milliner assisting. Milliner is reported well and recovering at home after a painful experience with the knife. John Farmer, a colored laborer on the C. P. and V. improvements above Lown, suffered a separate incident near the station when stricken with pneumonia and fainted along the track, later revived and conveyed to the train for hospital care.

Rev W J Quarry, one of the county’s oldest Methodist ministers, died at his home February 5 18 7. He began service in 1815 and retired from active duty about 1875.
