Emergency project finishes near Kappes home in Moscow

Governor and neighbors aided a riverbank stabilization along the Ohio River to save Allen Kappes house from collapse. Civil Defense Director Carl Copenhaver credited the village council, County Engineers, the 4 C's Radio Club, and the State Highway Department for traffic control and road signs while clay and dirt were hauled to shore up the bank. He plans a long range riverfront protection program for Clermont County.

Revenue Sharing Funds Sought for Clermont Clinic

The Health Center Board, rooted in the Clermont Community Council, seeks to open a health clinic for medically indigent adults. Union Township trustee hopefuls to be screened Feb 7 meeting

Parsons Pleads Guilty in Car Theft Case

John Parsons, 52, of Milford, pleaded guilty to seven counts involving selling stolen cars. Judge Ralph A. Hill referred the case to the probation department before sentencing. Walter H. Spiess, 48, also of Milford, and Donald Woods, 38, of Terrace Park, were granted three years probation. Spiess convicted of buying or concealing a stolen car, Woods pled guilty to buying a stolen car and aiding the purchase.

Buswell Resigns From SEM After Controversial Proposals

Wayne Gash announced Glen Buswell’s resignation as SEM legislative board chairman at SEM Villa in Milford during the sixth annual birthday dinner. Buswell’s January proposals for drastic organizational changes drew ire from SEM officers and members. SEM has opened SEM Manor in Mt. Washington and SEM Villa Milford with a 256 resident limit, with possible future phase three nursing home on Villa grounds.

Clermont Officials Screen Revenue Sharing Funds
