Sheriff Clyde Dericks Receives Farewell Dinner Honor
Deputies and friends of Sheriff Clyde B. Dericks honored him at a Saturday dinner at the D X Ranch. He will turn over office to Donald Watson on Jan 4 after 19 years three months three days. A plaque, a $50 check, and roses for his wife marked the tribute. Clarence Pennington spoke for the deputies. a rod and reel from the Sheriff’s Auxiliary was also presented. Dericks plans a Florida vacation and expressed gratitude for cooperation during his tenure.

Williamsburg Board of Education will receive bids until noon January 6 for 233189 dollars in bonds to finance reconstruction of a school building an addition to the present elementary building and its equipment. Grand Jury to Hear Dorsey Slaying Case

Batavia Village Council rejected eight bids for the sewer extension project ranging from 55 000 to 90 000 and a 52 000 estimate for the pre construction. Legion Threatens Suit Over West Clermont Transportation
