Amanda Acres elderly housing project gains new life
The Amanda Acres complex, once halted by contractor delays and a 1974 storm damage, is revived after Amanda Acres Inc sold the project to Amelia LTD Inc affiliated with Bernstein Group. The plan preserves rent up assistance and on site services for residents and aims to open early next year with initial one and two bedroom units renting from about $100. Members pay a $2 fee for residency priority.

Clermont County may launch a mass transit program in March with an initial 20 passenger buses. Phase I targets routes linking clinics and social agencies for the handicapped and general public at an estimated 256400 dollars, funded in part by a federal Urban Mass Transit Act subsidy and a 20 percent local match.

Private roads limit in Clermont County subdivision rule
Clermont County planners will enforce a law restricting minor subdivisions to landfronting public streets to avoid private road easements. Developers previously divided five lots with private road access, misled buyers about county takeovers and maintenance. Law also blocks unusable parcels and closes loopholes on contiguous land divisions.

Lois Dale director of Clermont Senior Services receives the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce Pacesetter Award for 1976. The honor honors leadership in human services.
