The Board of Directors resolves that visiting the infirmary is forbidden on Sundays and other days except Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 4 pm. The superintendent is forbidden to receive visitors except on those days. Signed by W. E. Matrox, Superintendent, dated December 14.

Parents and friends enjoyed a school program last Thursday with songs and declamations. Miss Griffis distributed a box of candy as Christmas gifts to each scholar. Visitors include Gertie Armstrong and George Bennett of Milford and others visiting local homes. A new baby boy was born December 23 to Mrs. Tommy Deem in Columbia. The Odd Fellow's fair drew a large crowd. Professor Witham of Felicity and others are noted visitors. a local resident, Weil, recovered from illness. Brooks returned from Ft Williams after visiting his daughter. Mrs. John Davis plans holidays in the city with her daughter. Miss Cinda Ross visits relatives and friends.
The I O O F fair in Newtonnville drew a grand crowd with Christmas presents noted for abundance. John Cross donated a substantial barrel of pork to his mother. A grand ball is planned at McCollum's Hall on Wednesday December 30 with good music.
F C Littleton seeks the postmaster position at Hulington citing support for Campbell and the Democratic ticket while A W Huling, the Republican incumbent, remains favored. L. carried an air flag from the Virginia campaign as Commander J. B. Bales announced an event set for January 22.

Snyder, who killed Smith near Marathon in Brown county last summer, was acquitted by a jury last week at Georgetown.
