F and Etta Troy Jones wed quietly last Sabbath at Olive Branch with family consent. The bride is the daughter of George Troy. the groom, a bookkeeper at Niles Tool Works in Hamilton, Ohio, and son of Robert Jones. The couple will begin housekeeping in Hamilton as friends wish them happiness.

County court rounds up acquittals in New Richmond cases

In Ohio v William Woodas and Ohio v John Kinsey both jury trials ended with acquittals. The Covalt will case concluded in court Friday, while Watson v James Watson for assault at Felicity school opening resulted in a not guilty verdict after the jury deliberated Tuesday. Townsley and Robinson's in Batavia listed as storers.

A severe train wreck last Thursday near Bloody Run involved Northern line train No 14 and the Ohio and Northwestern morning express. Pensions Granted and Increases Reported in Amelia and Batavia

Last week Alonzo Daley received a pension of $6.00 monthly with 28 years back pay. Joseph Potter secured $8.00 monthly plus 28 years arrearages. Pensions for George Myers James McMurchy and Ebenezer Crist were increased, secured by Major E. G. Penn U S Pension Attorney of Amelia Ohio. William Dare’s pension rose from $10 to $16 thanks to attorney William McK Barns of Williams burg Ohio. Samuel Newberry of Batavia found a pension in his stocking Christmas morning despite Jimmy Campbell.

Relief Commission distributes funds to Clermont indigents

The Soldiers' Relief Commission allocated 2200 among 73 Clermont county indigent soldiers widows and orphans at 3 75 monthly for eight months next year leaving a fund for extreme cases. The money comes from a two mill levy approved last June by County Commissioners under a General Assembly act. John G Inwin of Williamsburg will manage Hon B B Holmes store during his Columbus trip. Treasurer Anderson reports a light rent after last week’s rush.
