A compiled list details injuries and incidents in Clermont and nearby towns. Andrew Rogers of Olive Branch was seriously hurt by a falling horse last week. Lon Petard of Newtonsville injured by a fall from corn fodder and is recovering. J B Lewis of Calvary sustained severe ankle injuries while wheeling rock. A five year old child of J W Harlow at Crosstown suffered a skull fracture from a horse kick. John Lindsey of Fridman Mills New Richmond fell from lumber 20 feet high with serious injuries. Mrs Higgins barn at Lorado burned but minor damage. Jesse Ladd infant in Newport Adams county fatally burned by clothing on fire from stove. Benton Denham residence at Locust Corner broken into. Jessie a young girl confronted burglars with a gun, burglars surrendered then fled. Samuel Swope Felicity tested a dynamite cartridge in a stove, stove damaged but cartridge exploded harmlessly. Sheriff McCain Warren county cut his lip while chopping wood, breaking his own rules.

A charming program of recitations dialogues and duets will be presented at Moore's School Monroe township on Christmas Eve under the guidance of teacher Minnie Pattison. All are invited to attend.

The Sunbury News reports an elderly man visiting last week asking alms. Arrested, a search found several hundred dollars on him. He claims to be 111, from Batavia Ohio. Inquiries target Frank Moore at Washington, John Rhodes and Tom Leeds at Georgetown, others unknown. If no one recalls Swim, he will be deemed a mendacious floater.

A Clermont County man, Frank P. Davis of Felicity, is now a fugitive after forging his brother B T Davis’s name on notes and diverting funds. He allegedly forged a $50 note, aided by other depravations to steal cash, and fled after a Kentucky horse-livery theft sparked a $600 note scare. Behind the case are Davis family ties and social prominence in Bethel.
Judge Sage rules Government claims against Lot Wright invalid after Wright is accused of hiring deputies and paying them with town lots in Lebanon. Wright prevails, leaving him happy, as the courts decide in his favor. Remember Lot's Wright.
William Canada attacked his brother in a dark room with a butcher knife during a longstanding dispute on a Laurel farm. Charles Davis suffered a three inch cheek wound. Canada was arrested by Officer Rush and bound over to the grand jury for $200. The incident notes social context and local advertising curiosities.
J N Lazure of Blanchester was shot at his saloon by Albert Cadwallader during a card dispute Saturday morning. Lazure attempted to flee, then shot himself, dying instantly. Lazure, brother of Batavia section foreman Lazine, was a well known Northern Clermont figure.
