Judge of the Year award given to Clermont judge

The Clermont County Humane Society named Judge Priscilla O'Donnell its first annual Judge of the Year for consistent enforcement of the Ohio Revised Code in dog wardens cases and fines to support the Animal Shelter. Batavia Arson Fallout Sparks Rebuild Plans

In Batavia arson last May damaged several enterprises. Kathy and Ben Walter own the Main and South Second street corner parcel awaiting redevelopment. Flannery warned of trouble at CECOS landfill history

Harold Flannery, former Clermont Environmental Reclamation owner, warned agencies and new owners that in cell processing and waste handling at the Aber Road site problems could cause leaks and safety lapses. Internal notes and letters from 1981 to 1983 show concerns about quality control, mismanagement of in cell processing, and improper drum handling, with OEPA orders to halt unsafe practices until a drum processing center was built.
