The New Richmond Board of Trustees reports progress on a three part plan to upgrade Water Works and Distribution, sewage facilities, and gar bage collection. sewage plants have passed reviews with a 70 percent federal grant and 30 percent state loan. a 1975 target for the Water Works completion is set.
Judge Louis Schwartz imposed a $1,000 fine on John Edward Coyne, operator of Boot Hill Auto Graveyard in Ohio Township, for failing to erect a required fence despite a mandatory injunction and court orders.
Ohio Motor Vehicles Registrar C Donald Curry announced 204 deputy registrar locations will issue new color photo driver licenses starting January 2. An instant process camera unit will be installed at each agency within two weeks, giving these deputies exclusive license issuance after New Year’s Day. In Clermont County Margaret Clark will issue the new licenses at Firestone Tires Batavia.
The West Clermont Board of Education, normally meeting on the second and fourth Mondays, has rescheduled its December sessions due to the Christmas holidays.
West Clermont Junior Women's Club organized a Christmas party December 15 at the Shriner Burns Institute for burn victims with games and favors. Kenner Products donated toys for the children and gifts will also go to a Clermont County School for Special Classes class. two needy families will receive Christmas gifts from club members. The club plans spring fashion show and autumn dance fundraisers and invites new members via 232-1980.
Marathon Grange holds its regular monthly card party on Saturday December 22 at 8 15 pm in the Marathon Grange Hall. The event invites members to participate in the social gathering and games.
