Two Goshen endurance riders, R Merrill Hogue and his half-Arabian g shared horse Roadrunner nine, await February decisions on their eligibility for the 100 mile Purina Race of Champions at Big Horn Mountain Wyoming on August 10. Only 15 riders per region will be chosen for the 10,000 foot climb. Hogue completed a 14 hour qualifier in the Kettle Moraine Ride in Wisconsin and previously rode 23 hours in the Old Dominion. He earned the Cavalry Award for not using pit help.
